Taste of Africa 2021

3rd Annual Community Festival “Taste of Wakanda” 9.4.2021 – O’Fallon Park

The Taste of Africa Community Festival returns to O’Fallon Park this Year on September 4, 2021 from 12:00 Noon to 6:00 PM. This is our third year hosting this community centered event. In 2020, we unfortunately cancelled the annual event due to COVID 19. However, we are back, Bigger, Better, and Blacker, calling this year’s festival “the Taste of Wakanda”, in honor of Black Panther actor, Chadwick Boseman! In 2018 and 2019, we welcomed nearly 3,500 people to North City, to O’Fallon Park, of the biggest parks in the region.

Enjoy a wide variety of live music and art at the Taste of Africa with on on stage performances. Among featured performers, is Ngoma, a group of multi talented performers led by “Baba” Dhati Kennedy with a diverse repertoire of dance and music influenced from the motherland of Africa.

Featuring a rich and authentic marketplace with vendors of all types, from clothing to African food & cuisine, to art & collectables, to jewelry and so much more.
